Iota Alpha Officially Listed as NGO Supporter of UNICEF USA
Phi Iota Alpha is now listed as a NGO Supporter on the
UNICEF USA website. Phi Iota Alpha is one of the few Greek Organizations listed
as a NGO supporter as we continue our support to UNICEF USA through different
initiatives such as Trick or Treat for UNICEF, UNICEF Tap Project , and a dedicated page that supports UNICEF's Latin
American and Caribbean Region.
"As a fraternity we continue to work closely with UNICEF USA
in order to enhance our partnership and are thrilled with the progress we have
made in just a few years. We are very honored to be listed as one of the many
NGO supporters who Believe in Zero.” said Francisco Lugo, Executive
Director of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
The Fraternity is thrilled with the recognition UNICEF USA has
given to us and we are committed to maintain a strong and dedicated partnership
as we continue to make it possible for no child to die from preventable causes.

UNICEF has saved more children's lives than any other humanitarian organization in the world. Working in more than 150 countries, UNICEF provides children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief, and more. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF's work through fundraising, advocacy, and education in the United States.
UNICEF is at the forefront of efforts to reduce child mortality worldwide. There has been substantial progress: the annual number of under-five deaths dropped from 13 million in 1990 to 8.8 million in 2008. But still, 22,000 children die each day from preventable causes. Our mission is to do whatever it takes to make that number zero by giving children the essentials for a safe and healthy childhood. For more information, visit www.unicefusa.org.
