Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity Selects OmegaFi

Brooklyn, New York - December 26, 2013

Phi Iota Alpha, the Oldest Latino Fraternity in Existence®, has selected OmegaFi's Compass organization management system to run the fraternity's administrative functions. Compass will record all aspects of a Member's lifetime interactions with Phi Iota Alpha. Compass also provides a way for Chapter leaders to submit required membership reports online with the National Fraternity and to manage communications with other Members, Alumni, and parents.

"Phi Iota Alpha has grown tremendously in recent years, and the Board and National Management Team recognized that we'd outgrown our business and administrative practices," said Executive Director Francisco Lugo. "We needed a system that would integrate our organization from top to bottom, would be scalable to meet our future needs and would maximize the productivity of our limited personnel. OmegaFi fit the bill perfectly."

In addition to the National Staff-based functions, Phi Iota Alpha alumni and undergraduates will use a customized version of myOmegaFi, the private members-only portal included within Compass, to manage their personal information, access Chapter polls, announcements, calendars, and other OmegaFi services the Chapter uses, such as managing their Chapter website and OmegaFi's Vault Billing & Collection, which all Phi Iota Alpha chapters will be using by September of 2014.

Today December 26 during our founding date, we commemorate the establishment of Phi Iota Alpha in 1931. The brotherhood has grown considerably since then, but is still composed of university and professional men committed towards the empowerment of the Latin American community. We continue to do this by providing social, cultural programs and activities geared towards the appreciation, promotion, and preservation of the Latin American culture.

OmegaFii s a fraternal organization's partner for long-term operational success. Through Vault, Embark and Compass, OmegaFi provides financial and membership management, alumni relations communications, and annual fundraising services for fraternity and sorority chapters across the country, database services for Inter/National Headquarters operations, as well as capital fundraising management for house corporations and Greek National foundations.

Since 1931, Phi Iota Alpha has set precedents for Latino Greek leadership in the global community. For over 82 years, Phi Iota Alpha has cultivated and inspired Latino men nationwide to become leaders of their communities across Latin America and the United States. Open to all men, this distinguished brotherhood includes many professionals and former presidents of Latin American countries. Today Phi Iota Alpha, the Oldest Latino Fraternity in existence, continues to lead as the preeminent Latino fraternal organization with chapters throughout the United States.
