Phi Iota Alpha Launches New
Online Member Community
& 2010 Convention
website
Phi Iota Alpha, today announced the launch of its new online member
community at www.phiota.info
Designed to deliver enhanced value to all Phi Iota Alpha brothers, the
new community allows members to create profiles, search for and connect with
fellow members, collaborate on projects and documents, follow the latest organization
news and industry trends, register for events, shop the online store, create
blogs, contribute to wiki-enabled pages, and much more. The community also
features groups that allow members to congregate and connect with other members
regarding various points of similar interests. The site is integrated with
facebook.com so that brothers can connect their social network experience
online.
The new web community also provides mass email, e-newsletter and
messaging systems that enable enhanced communication with, and among, community
members.
For Phi Iota Alpha, the new online member community helps streamline
online dues collection, event management, online donations and fundraising,
ecommerce, e-communications, reporting and more – and provides one, secure
community that allows Phi Iota Alpha brothers to connect and share ideas in an
online environment that is safe and secure.
According to Phiota IT Director Alberto Elvira, "We felt an urgent need
to improve the quality of the online experience for our brothers in way that
phiota.org was lacking. We have had tremendous success with phiota.org
being on top of the search ranks, and giving us greater outreach across the
nation. But we needed our website to be as good on the inside.”
Phiota.info will serve as the brother only community alongside
Phiota.org for the near future as content and functions are migrated from one
website to another.
Additionally the 2010 Convention website was also launched at www.phiota2010.org. Created by convention
chair Ernie Martinez, the site details all the events at the 2010 convention in
Dallas Texas July 15th – 18th.
Brothers are welcome to logon on and register at www.phiota.info, and checkout the upcoming convention
