Phi Iota Alpha announces annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign

New York, New York -October 2011

Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of the Phi Iota Alpha Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign. Throughout the month of October, our chapters, colonies and alumni around the nation will work together to raise awareness and funds through our UNICEF partnership to end the needless suffering of children and peers around the globe.

Last year, we officially announced UNICEF as our national philanthropy. Our first endeavor was to adopt Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF as our first project with a goal of raising $3,000.  Not only did we surpass our original goal by $620.73, we also had several provinces and chapters as major online fundraisers.  At year ends, total contributions reached $8,639.95 to UNICEF with our donation of $1,000.00 to the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Relief, and the adoption of the Tap Project during the spring semester in which we raised a total of $4,019.22.

This year, we have once again decided to adopt Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF and raise the bar by increasing our fundraising goal efforts to $4,000.  In alignment with our organizational goals, we are on track to adopting a UNICEF sponsored fundraiser in Latin America by 2012.

You can support this effort by:

  • Visiting www.phiota.info and clicking on the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF banner

  • Donating to UNICEF via your local Phi Iota Alpha fraternity representative

  • Joining efforts with your local Phi Iota Alpha chapter or colony

We thank you for your continued support and we look forward to building a brighter world one small step at a time.  For more information about UNICEF please visit www.unicefusa.org

If you would like to learn how you can help, please send us an email via our contact form or contact your local Phi Iota Alpha fraternity representative for more information on ways you can help our fundraising efforts.
