ABOUT OUR BROTHERHOOD

Membership in Phi Iota Alpha is open to all men regardless of race, creed, color, or national origin who challenge themselves to develop a strong network for the advancement of Latino people. Phi Iota Alpha's membership includes prominent and accomplished educators, politicians, businessmen, and four former presidents of Latin American countries. Phi Iota Alpha utilizes motifs from the Pan-American revolutionary period and uses images and colors depicting the time of Latin American revolutionaries and thinkers to represent the organization.

MISSION STATEMENT

Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity is committed to the development of professional leaders through shared experiences and fostered lifelong brotherhood. These men continuously promote the ideals of Pan-Americanism via intellectual dialogue, cultural awareness, and community service.

NHI's mission is to create experiences that engage achieving high school and college-age youth in community leadership roles that advance our quality of life.

Affiliations

The North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) is a trade association that represents national and international men’s fraternities, including a diverse range of culturally and religious-based organizations, on campuses in the United States and Canada. The NIC is committed to supporting opportunities for young men to seek and form positive, enriching fraternal bonds. The health and safety of students guide our advocacy, standards, and education.

The National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Inc. exists to unite and empower its member organizations through advocacy, and organizational development while fostering positive fraternal relationships and collaborating on issues impacting the Latino-Greek community.

The 1931 Foundation exists to support Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity’s mission of the development of professional leaders through shared experiences and fostered lifelong brotherhood. These men continuously promote the ideals of Pan Americanism via intellectual dialogue, cultural awareness, and community service. 

Established in 2019, the Foundation is dedicated to developing an awareness rooted in the common values and traditions of Latin America. The Foundation supports individual educational achievement of all Latinos.
